 Greta E. von Unruh

Greta von Unruh is a highly innovative executive with fifteen years experience in human, community, and economic development in Palm Beach County.  Prior to joining EDRI, Ms. von Unruh was a program associate for the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation where she administered the grant-making process for departmental programs totaling $2 million annually. She also helped research and develop strategic grant-making plans for the Southeast Florida Region.

Previously in her career Ms. von Unruh has been a project manager for the Collins Center for Public Policy, Palm Beach County Planning Division, and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

Ms. von Unruh has won achievement awards for affordable housing production and for community organizing in Palm Beach County.  She is a recipient of the county’s NaCo Award which recognizes her efforts in creating an outstanding government program, and is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County's Class of 2009.  She has served as a commissioner for the Ivey Green Housing Authority in Riviera Beach, and other civic activities include promoting local theatre organizations and volunteering at local adoption agencies. 

A Palm Beach County native, Ms. von Unruh is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University.
